Paley to Make Series Return at Road America

Sam Paley will make his return to Mustang Challenge competition for the remainder of the season, beginning with next weekend’s rounds at Road America.
The Ford Performance Junior Team driver announced on Monday that his Paley Motorsport operation will field a Ford Mustang Dark Horse R in the final four events of the season.
Paley, who finished third in the points standings in inaugural season of the single-make series with two wins, is coming off a pair of podium finishes in last month’s Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational.
He was due to contest a full season of IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge with McCumbee McAleer Racing in a Mustang GT4 but was forced to recently pull out of the program due to sponsorship issues.
“I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be competing in the final four rounds of the IMSA Mustang Challenge with my program, Paley Motorsport,” Paley wrote on social media.
“I’m very confident in our pace and our program’s ability after a very strong showing at Le Mans.”
While being absent from Mustang Challenge competition this year, Paley Motorsport has fielded entires in the new-for-2025 USAC-sanctioned Mustang Cup.
The two races at Road America will be followed by outings at Virginia International Raceway, Circuit of The Americas, in support of the FIA World Endurance Championship, before closing out the season at the Charlotte Roval, on the NASCAR Cup Series weekend.
