The Belgian-American duo confirmed their strong form during the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa with another podium finish behind the wheel of the Mustang GT4.

Spa (BE), June 29, 2026 – At the halfway point of the GT4 European Series season, TeamFloral has firmly established its momentum. In front of no fewer than 132,000 spectators and a large global online audience during the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, drivers Michiel Haverans and Sam Paley once again secured a podium finish. During what became the hottest weekend ever recorded in Belgium, both the drivers and the team demonstrated maturity, speed, and resilience under extraordinary conditions.

Strong foundations laid in qualifying

From Friday onwards, TeamFloral showed once again that it belonged among the fastest teams in the field. Sam Paley secured tenth on the grid for the opening race, while Michiel Haverans posted an impressive fourth-fastest time, earning a strong starting position for the second contest of the weekend.

Those performances provided the perfect foundation for a home event where every detail would prove decisive.

Fourth place in a spectacular evening race

On Friday evening, as the sun set over Spa-Francorchamps and the first drops of rain began to fall, tyre strategy became a defining factor in the outcome of the race. Sam Paley kept his composure in the tricky conditions and managed to gain no fewer than six positions.

After the driver change, Haverans took over and successfully maintained that position. Thanks to a flawless closing stint, TeamFloral ended the evening with an impressive fourth-place finish.

Bronze trophy adds extra shine to a strong weekend on home soil

Following that result, Michiel Haverans started the following morning from the position in which the team had finished the night before. From the very beginning, the young Belgian found himself in an intense battle for third place. Haverans once again demonstrated his determination in a direct fight with some of the championship’s leading contenders.

Ultimately, Paley guided the TeamFloral Mustang GT4 across the finish line in third place. The successful weekend rewarded TeamFloral with a well-earned podium finish, a result that reflects the hard work of recent months and provides additional confidence for the remainder of the season.

“I’m happy with the result. This was the position that was realistically achievable this weekend, and we managed to deliver. It’s a significant step forward compared to our P7 and P8 finishes here at Spa last year,” said Michiel Haverans.

The weekend also carried special meaning for Sam Paley: “Standing on the podium at Spa feels truly special,” said Paley. “Not only because it was my first experience at this legendary circuit, but also because my grandfather originally came from this region. It goes beyond TeamFloral’s Belgian roots.”

Looking ahead to the second half of the season with confidence

With a podium finish on home soil, a clear upward trajectory, and a driver pairing that continues to grow stronger together, TeamFloral enters the second half of the season with confidence. The performances in Monza and Spa have confirmed that Haverans and Paley fully deserve their place within the Ford Racing Driver Development Team.

The Belgian team now aims to build on that momentum and continue fighting for strong results throughout the remainder of the championship. The next round takes place from July 17 to 19 in Misano, Italy.
