The crew came on the radio with about 13 minutes left, and I had to politely tell them to let me focus, so I could keep putting down laps. I knew I had a gap, but you still need to keep it clean. I saw the white flag, cruised home, and I was so excited to cross that start-finish. I think that white flag was the longest lap of my life.

I should have won here back in 2021, and I’ve been waiting to win here ever since. I know exactly what you need to do to win at this track, even though I hadn’t done it. I just went out there and executed it with a great car. We had really good long pace and got lucky with some yellows. It was a really good day. I’m really happy to get my first Mustang Challenge win and the first for the crew as well. I couldn’t be happier. This is exactly what we wanted to do, and we went out there and did it.”
