In addition to Paley Motorsport’s involvement in the IMSA Mustang Challenge and USAC Mustang Cup, Sam and Paley Motorsport also offer coaching services for other series, events, and platforms. Paley Motorsport has recently provided engineering services, team management, consulting support, and driver development programs in the Mazda MX-5 Cup, Spec MX-5, WRL, Zenith Racing Series, GT4 Australia, and the GT4 European Series.
As a driving coach, Sam’s primary mission is instilling successful mindsets within drivers. Sam uses data analysis, video review, radio communication, real-world comparisons, and detailed debriefs to thoroughly develop drivers throughout each session, day, and weekend at the track. Sam’s job is to make each driver the best version of themselves each time they go on track and ensure they are leaving the race track after the weekend in a better position than when they arrived. Sam’s primary focus is on overall driver development both in and out of the car, gaining confidence and certainty, and creating championship caliber drivers.

At the track, Sam utilizes extensive data acquisition, video analysis, radio communication (when applicable), and detailed debriefs to promote driver development. Sam has extensive experience coaching in one-on-one settings as well as in team settings. Sam’s objective at the track is to help drivers improve and become better every lap, session, day, and weekend. Not only just improving across the select weekend, but rather establishing and building upon foundations across race weekends to promote and maintain sustainable success and growth.
Sam also offers video and data review for test sessions, races, or any other on-track session remotely. Through reviewing video and data, Sam can still give thorough advice, suggestions, and constructive critique.
Paley Motorsport provides iRacing simulator coaching for drivers who want to prepare more effectively for real-world events. When used with purpose, simulator training can help drivers learn new tracks, build confidence, and improve the fundamentals that support strong performance.
Sam made the simulator a key part of his preparation for the 2026 season. In 2026, Sam competed at nine new venues and earned podiums at six of them, crediting much of that success to thorough preparation and consistent work on the simulator.
Coaching helps drivers make each session more productive, whether they’re learning an unfamiliar circuit or sharpening the skills they’ll rely on at the track.
Working with Sam this past year has been an incredible experience. I can confidently say that he is the best coach I have worked with in all my years of racing, and the results we have achieved together back that up. Ever since we started working together I have made consistent and substantial gains, both on and off the track. If you’re looking to progress in motorsports then Sam is your guy.
Sam leaves no stone unturned with his input, whether it be on or off track performance, nothing will go unnoticed with his extremely attentive and valuable coaching. My results and fundamentals dramatically improved from his input.
Sam has coached me several times including IMSA MX-5 Cup races. I found him to be extremely knowledgable and he was able to extract a lot more performance out of me and was able to help me articulate to the mechanics what changes were needed. I would not hesitate to use him again in the future and would recommend him to anyone looking to become a better driver.
My coaching sessions with Sam were some of the greatest learning and growing experiences I’ve had as a driver. Sam has a knack for simplifying complex and difficult techniques, meeting the driver where they are and enabling them to access speed and confidence. Sam’s guidance is always clear, concise, and, most importantly, effective. I highly recommend Sam to anyone looking to develop their skills on track and have a fun time in the process.
